Information obtained from Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

In six months time, Pennsylvania's casinos and slot machines had generated more than was expected. Pocono Downs, Philadelphia Park Casino & Racetrack and Harrah's Chester Casino & Racetrack as well as Presque Isle Downs had a combined $3.3 billion wagered with Players also winning back close to $3 billion which is a payback rate of just over %90. These casinos have generated just over $300 million in revenue for our neighboring state.

Pennsylvania has just expanded this summer with slot machines at the Meadows Racetrackand Casino which opened June 11, 2007. The Meadows had the highest average payback of nearly %92 of the $167 million wagered going back into the pockets of those playing the slot machines.

On average, Pennsylvania makes approximately $1.7 million per day from their slots and has been able to place some of these monies in money market or other investments that earn interest.

Information obtained from Deleware Online

During the last budget year, Delaware had a lottery income which includes their slot machines, adding up to nearly $266 million. Deleware is concerned with Maryland getting slots since this is Deleware states fourth largest single source of money.
